Kevin McKeown is the Owner and President of So-Mark Consulting. So-Mark Consulting works with Small/Medium-sized businesses and Not-For-Profits to help build their brand affordably through Content Marketing.

Kevin has spent his career with the focus on client account management, customer retention and problem-solving. Kevin got his start in his career working in the Temp Industry as a placement counselor for Kelly Services and Accountemps. From there, Kevin would move into the Student Loan industry where he spent the majority of his career. He worked for several student loan providers including The Access group, USA Group, Sallie Mae, and JPMorgan Chase. In his time in the industry, Kevin’s focus was working directly with Financial Aid offices helping to manage those relationships, helping to solve problems for clients, selling products and services, and eventually managing sales teams to meet or exceed their sales goals. In his last position at JPMorgan Chase, Kevin created and built an inside sales team from the ground up.

As a manager of sales teams, Kevin’s goal and enjoyment was to help each of the members of his sales team to grow as professionals. He helped do this by understanding their strengths as well as areas where improvement was needed and working to put together a plan to help them exceed. Kevin left the student loan world in 2012 and went to work as a Registered Investment Advisor.

In April of 2015, Kevin started to work at So-Mark Consulting and quickly took over running the day-to-day operations. In May of 2020, Kevin purchased the company and is now the Owner/and President.

Outside of work, Kevin is married and has 2 sons who he enjoys spending time with when possible. He enjoys playing golf, bowling, playing racquetball, and kayaking. He is involved in his local community through church and other organizations. He has a love of music and plays guitar.
